Installation Proposals Guidelines & Submission Form
CAMP is pleased to introduce a new event showcasing comprehensive, multidisciplinary installation works. We invite installation proposals exploring any theme or concept.
Proposals should clearly and thoroughly articulate the artistic intent and conceptual framework of the installation, providing as much detail as possible. They must also include a detailed list of all materials and technical requirements necessary for the production and presentation of the work.
The proposal may include any instruments from the list.

one clarinet player - clarinet or bass clarinet
one saxophone player - saxophone (SATB)
one violin, viola, cello
one electric guitar (six, seven, or eight strings)
one piano player - grand piano, 30-key toy piano, 25-key Suzuki Andes recorder keyboard
one female voice
percussion - two 5.0 Octave Marimbas, two 3.0 Octave Vibraphones, xylophone, glockenspiel, chimes, 2 octaves - crotales, tuned gongs/almglocken from C4 -C6, various sizes of snare drums/field drums, various sizes of tom-toms, various sizes of bass drums, various cymbals, gongs, tam-tams, various accessory percussion (woodblocks, triangles, tambourines, temple blocks, etc.), various Latin percussion Instruments, taiko drums, various found metal (thunder sheets, pipes, brake drums, cast iron pans, etc.) * For percussion instrument inquiries, contact Kevin von Kampen

PROPOSAL ELIGIBILITY
Proposed installations may be pre-existing or new. Pre-existing installations must have been created by 2020 or later. Installations integrating various forms of art/media are encouraged.
Installations of any style, aesthetic, and approach are accepted.
Installations may be static or dynamic. If there is an intended sequence of events, please plan to limit this to 60 minutes.
Artists may provide their own performers/materials/tech/etc. Components/performers that need to be provided by CAMP must be clearly defined and itemized. The feasibility of providing these components will be considered in the adjudication process.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Proposal link - must be uploaded as a PDF file formatted as LastnameFirstname_Installation_Title.pdf (CageJohn_Installation_WaterWalk.pdf), including the following information:
A brief artist statement (300 words max)
A comprehensive proposal of the installation, including the central concept, a description of the installation/sequence of events, any required materials, and a plan for execution to address any logistical considerations, including estimated set-up and tear-down duration (1000 words max)
Complete tech rider
Media or instrument requests
Basic stage plots
Submissions must include links to any relevant media examples or past installation works.
Successful submissions will clearly and succinctly explain the installation’s conception and execution, be reasonably feasible in scope, involve multimedia components, and be readily accessible and interesting for any audience.
SELECTED CREATORS
SELECTED CREATORS
Selected creators must register for and attend the festival.
CAMP is NOT responsible for providing or reimbursing travel or lodging expenses for selected participants or their performers.
Official letters of invitation will be provided upon request to assist participants in obtaining funding from grants or affiliated institutions.
Selected participants are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $75 by December 31, 2026, to secure their place in the festival. Failure to submit payment by this deadline will result in the loss of the participant’s spot, and it will be offered to the next applicant on the waitlist.
SELECTED STUDENT CREATORS who are currently enrolled in high school, undergraduate, or graduate programs
Selected student creators must register for and attend the festival.
Additional official letters of invitation will be provided upon request to assist participants in securing funding from grants or affiliated institutions.
CAMP offers free housing during the festival for selected student composers currently enrolled in high school, undergraduate, or graduate programs.
Selected student composers are eligible to apply for the CAMP internship (assistant to the Technical Director and Administrative Director), and the registration fee will be waived for interns.
CAMP is NOT responsible for providing or reimbursing travel or lodging expenses for creators’ own performers.
